The Karolinska Trial Alliance (KTA) works to coordinate and stimulate clinical research in Stockholm County.

Its vision is that Stockholm will become the most attractive area in Scandinavia for conducting clinical trials. Its goal is to develop strong collaboration between the healthcare sector, academia and industry; and perform services that will result in pharmaceutical and medical innovations being developed more quickly so that they can be used sooner to benefit patients.

KTA functions as a knowledge and resource centre for conducting and coordinating clinical trials as well as providing advice and training. We offer services in the following areas:

– Clinical trials at our own research unit
– The administration required to conduct and quality-assure clinical trials
– Advice and training in how to conduct clinical trials
– Tools and advice for managing the financial and legal aspects of clinical trials
– Coordination between the healthcare sector, academia and industry.
